Sha’teina and Daniyal Grady El was accused of not leaving the scene of a crime before police committed their own crimes: A Washtenaw County Sheriff was recorded on video beating Sha'teina,  who was unarmed and nonviolent until she was brutally accosted without justifiable provocation during the encounter.

Sha’Teina Grady El was on trial for three counts of resisting and obstructing an officer, one count for causing injury to an officer for her resistance and one count for malicious destruction of police property. The charges carried a maximum punishment of 14 years in prison. Her husband, Daniyal Grady El, was charged with two felony counts for resisting and obstructing an officer, with the maximum punishment being four years in prison.

The verdict: NOT GUILTY!!
